Mr Thorne Does Phonics - Youtube clips: - Mr Thorne Does Phonics includes fun videos about each sound. There are also sections for grammar, tricky words, reading skills and helpful tips for parents.

Teach your Monster to Read Flashcards: - Phonics flashcards (currently only available on computers at the moment, not smart phones or tablets).

World e Books:  - A collection of over 3000 free eBooks and audio books. 


 Numbots: - games based around our key instant recall maths facts. Please use your TT Rockstars log ins, these will be emailed to you by Friday 20th March 2020. 

 TT Rockstars: - Daily mathematics practise. In year one, children are expected to be confident counting in twos, fives and tens.

Physical Education and Wellbeing:

Go Noodle: - our class favourites include Milkshake, Cat Party and Kitty High Five. Please note, some of the songs are very catchy!! Select 'Flow' for mindfulness inspired exercises. 

BBC Supermovers: - Active PSHE, maths and literacy videos.

Illustration Tutorials: - Shoo Rayner Illustration tutorials

Fine motor skills: - fine and gross motor skill ideas.        We do a combination of these activities for 5 minutes every day during our 'Funky fingers' sessions. We put on some active music and join in with the fine motor activities until the music stops. When the music stops we have 1 minute to tidy away. I'd love to hear of any 'funky fingers' sessions you've enjoyed at home!

We have been very busy in year 1 following and creating our own Slime recipes!

Here are some example recipes, do have a go at making your own! The recipes can be altered to include essential cupboard ingredients. Take a look at the recipes below for ideas... you might even like to send us an email on our class account to show us your creations!
