Welcome to the Year 4 Home Learning Page where I will be uploading activities and tasks for you to do at home. Here you will find some marvellous maths, enjoyable English, riveting reading and more. Everything that is currently on this page is for the whole week. There is also some great ideas on the Home Learning web page with craft, P.E and mindful ideas. Can you teach a song or dance from our production of Snow White and The Seven Jockeys to someone in your family?
Maths Activities for the Week: Time questions
Can you read a book for at least 20 minutes and tell someone at home:
- what predictions you made
- what you inferred about a character
- what words you had to clarify
This week's reading comprehension is all about Garden birds. Read this information text and answer the questions. There are different levels of questions for you to choose from:
Over the last few weeks we've been learning how to say the days of the week and months of the year. Click here to find the words we've been learning and using in a word-search.
You could either print it out, or open it on Word and use 'insert>shape>line' to draw lines over the words you find.
We've been learning to draw shapes using the MSW Logo program. If you don't have this on your computer, you can use https://www.transum.org/software/Logo/ in the same way.
If a square is " repeat 4 [fd 15 rt 90]" how would you draw a rectangle?
Can you draw a triangle? What sort of triangle is it?
What about a circle? Can you make a flower?
