3.12.20
Almost there!! Well done everyone! We cannot wait to have you all back in school, very soon!
Please don't forget to email in any pictures of what you have been getting up too, so I can keep a record! Thank you all for your support and hard work over this very strange time!
Phonics
Today's sound is the 'ue' sound. This can be found in words such as glue, blue, and true. It makes the 'oo' sound, which the children will have heard before!
Have a look though the powerpoint and have a go at the activity.
Literacy
Continuing with Jack and the bean stalk, the children can either cut these words out and arrange them into sentences, and take a photo; or they can re-write the sentences, remembering capital letters and full stops.
Maths
To consolidation addition, here are some deeper thinking questions the children can do. They may require a bit of help to read the questions. This is to help the children further their mathematical understanding. This may be tricky for some children, but they have great resilience, so give it a go!
There are some tips along each side to help the grown up, with question prompts!
Topic
To finish off this weeks topic, the children can make their own weather station. A weather station is something we can use to help us record the weather. Have a look at the resources below and see what you can do. You can either make your own weather station, using junk modelling; or you can draw and label a weather station, thinking about all its different features. I would love to see pictures of both.
Good luck!
