Clubs

There are many clubs available for your children here at The Beacon.  Our Extended Schools offer ensures school is open from 7.45am until 6pm for families who require childcare outside of the school day. In addition there are clubs run on a voluntary basis by staff and friends of the school.  Each term different clubs are on offer, you can click the link below to find this term's clubs and book online.

We also run Sports Club during the school holidays. During the Christmas, Easter and Summer Holidays this is part of the Government HAF scheme - places are free for children who receive Pupil Premium.  At the Half Term Holidays, we run a similar club on site.  We aim to provide on-site childcare managed by Primary Sports (and many of our own staff team) every week of the school year.  Further information can be found in our Parents’ and Carers’ Pages.

All our club leaders are DBS checked.

Exmouth Community College also runs clubs for pupils aged 8 years or above, as detailed on their website at www.exmouthcollege.devon.sch.uk.

The Clubs list for this term can be accessed on the Parents’ and Carers’ pages.

Some examples of clubs that have been run for Key Stage one children include a Multi-Sports, Music, Art, Reading and Construction (Lego) Clubs.  For Key Stage two children, in the past, we have offered a range of clubs including many different sports clubs, music clubs and orchestras, craft and ten pin bowling.

Food allergens

It is essential that parents / carers keep us informed of any allergies or intolerances.  We can provide lists of allergen information, but in order that these are the most up to date, please speak with staff. We can cater for all dietary needs.

Please click here for this term's clubs for your child.  Booking and payment (where relevant) is online.  Please note that clubs other than Breakfast and 3:30 Club may be cancelled at short notice as they are voluntarily run.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club is run by school staff on the school site from 7:45am until the start of school at 8:50am from Monday to Friday.  It is a popular club providing child care with breakfast and activities.  Places at this club must be booked in advance.  Each session costs £4.00 and must be paid for in advance.  Childcare voucher payments are accepted.

3:30 Club

The 3:30 Club is open from 3:30 - 6:00pm during term time. The cost for this is split, and you will be charged £8.50 if you collect your child by 4.30pm, or the charge is £10 if you need childcare up until 6pm.

Re the split charge for 3.30 Club, if your child is booked in until 4.30pm but pick up is after 4.30pm, then a full session cost will be charged. We realise that there may be occasions where an unplanned extension is required, however if this happens regularly the child must be booked for the whole session (i.e. you can’t book until 4.30pm all the time and only extend if you’re late picking up).

Children will enjoy many activities and be given a drink and a snack.  Please note that you must first register your child by signing this contract and sending it to the office.  Further bookings must be made at least a week in advance by booking online.  Payment for sessions must be in advance.  Childcare voucher payments are accepted.

To secure places you must first register your child by signing this extended schools contract and sending it to the school office.  Please then complete regular booking online.

Breakfast and 3.30 Clubs are both accessed through the gate next to the main office door. Please ring the doorbell on the gatepost and a Club leader will collect your child from you.
