It has been a very strange week this week, well done to all of 1J who are having to isolate and getting your home learning done. I am so proud of all of you! Thank you to your grown up's too, for your continued support. While I figure out Teams over the weekend, please continue to email yr1@beacon-ce-primary.devon.sch.uk with any work, I love seeing what you are all getting up too.
Any work that you do at home, please keep. I would love to see it and stick it into their books when the children are back in school.

Phonics
Today's new sound is 'ie.' The children have learnt the 'igh' sound, this new phoneme sounds exactly the same but looks different.
Have a look through the powerpoint, and complete the worksheet, looking at both 'igh' and 'ie.'
If you have any time left over, have a go on phonics play, practising our new phoneme.

Your literacy task today is to write sentences to show what the pictures are saying!
You must remember your capital letters, full stops and finger spaces! Wow your grown up's with your amazing writing!
Maths
To help with your addition within ten, have a go at this worksheet. I'm sure a lot of you will smash this, and amazing your grownups with your amazing adding skills.
