HOME LEARNING HEALTH WARNING!
Times are hard for everyone, the most important thing is to look after your own mental health and help your family to do the same.
We will post enough work so your children can find tasks they'll enjoy - but we aren't expecting families to be doing all of it! Do what's right for you and your circumstances.
In terms of learning, the priority is to keep reading and number tasks going whenever you can, these things will make it easier to return to learning once school re-opens.

Home Learning Week 7: 18th May 2020

Welcome to our Week 7 of Home School!
The subjects are labelled with the activities able to be downloaded below. Please try your best to get as much done as possible. If you have any questions or if you have any problem at all please do email me. We want to make sure this works for everyone so any feedback will be very useful. We also would love to see any work that you can complete and we will post them up on our 'Super Star' page

Beat Mr Sanders

Oscar's Workout

Oscar and his family have came up with a fitness challenge for us to do. I have given it a go, but I am sure there are lots of you who can beat my time. I've typed out the workout below and the challenge is to see how quick you can complete the workout. If you are not sure of an exercise, each one has a video of how to do it on YouTube.

Workout:

1) Lunge with arm stretch- 40 seconds

2) Switch Kicks x 20

3) Sideways Plank Dips x 12 each side

4) Burpees x 20

5) Plank x 30 seconds

6) Mountain climbers x 50

7) Bicycle crunches x 40

8) Burpee Tuck Jumps  x 10

9) Duck Walks- 20 seconds

10) Squat Jumps x10

11) Press Ups x 20

12) Power Squats x 20

13) Sprint on Spot- 30 seconds

Frenchusing money

In France (and lots of other European countries) they use Euros (E) and cents rather than pounds (£) and pence. Look at the sheet here to find out what the different coins look like and what they are called, before doing some calculations in French.

Computing

This week we're going to learn how to draw a T-rex using step-by-step instructions. On the photos here I'm using the free Sketches app, but this method will work on any drawing program or app. You might even want to try it on paper as well.

Watch the video and listen to the instructions. Remember to press pause after each stage if you need longer to copy the step, and that the most useful button is the undo one. You can undo/redo it as many times as you need to!

Good luck!
